CAMBRIDGE, Mass., September 14, 2009 - Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc. today announced that David Ebersman has joined the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Ebersman is the chief financial officer of Facebook. He served at Genentech from 1994-2009 in a number of senior positions, including executive vice president and chief financial officer, senior vice president of product operations, vice president of product development, and project team leader for Avastin®, Genentech's breakthrough cancer therapy.
